Poisons
Poisons can wreak havoc on the body. They can be long term and challenging to treat. Poisons are normally stored in vials or delivered directly from inside a creature.
Exposure
There are 4 methods of exposure that can occur. Once exposed to a poison by its exposure type, the poison begins attacking after its onset time passes.
Effect Method
There are different methods in which the toxin affects the body that primarily determine how they can be defended against. Each also has a magical version.
Effects
This effect determines the harm done and the delay between attacks. Ailments, conditions, and penalties from poison cannot be reduced or removed until the recovery delay time has passed. Poisons attack on the Soulweaver's turn. While any effect of the poison remains, the creature has symptoms that indicate the affliction that have a Tier representing how easy they are to identify.
Attacking
Poisons begin with a set number of attack dice. After each attack from the poison, the poison loses 1d12 from its attack. If the defense is successful, the poison loses 1 additional d12 from its attack. If there are no dice left, the poison stops attacking and the recovery delay begins. If the creature is exposed to a poison that has not already started its recovery delay, then each dose increases the attack dice of the existing poison by 2 instead of any other effect.
Using Poisons
To use a poison stored in vials, use the action matching its exposure type.
Creating Poisons
There are 3 ways to create poisons based on where the poison comes from.
