Soulshards: Rising Legends RPG is a tabletop roleplaying game. Each player creates a character by combining their species, affinities, skills, and abilities with the personality, goals, and vices that make them who they are fundamentally. A Soulweaver is tasked with telling an interactive story by weaving together settings, plots, antagonists, supporting characters, and other facets for the player's characters. The result of the choices the players make is determined by working with the Soulweaver and by rolling dice.

The Soulweaver provides challenges for the players to overcome and crafts how the world responds to the characters' actions. Players describe what their character attempts to do in response to the world placed before them. During gameplay, participants roll numerous twelve-sided dice as defined by the rules and their characters. As characters adventure and choose their actions, success or failure is primarily based on rolling dice. The Soulweaver has the last say on all matters and can even adjust the rules to provide the best gameplay and story.

Rising Legends is designed with a focus on heavy character customization. Armored spell castor, musically inclined dragon, or a silver-tongued cyclops. It's all possible with Soulshards. With twenty-five playable species that can blend together to create half-breeds, each with their own subtypes to choose from, your choice of appearance and background is limitless. Carefully choose how to assign your advancement points on abilities you hand select to make a truly unique and legendary character.

All you and your friend group need to start playing is a handful of twelve-sided dice, a copy of the provided character sheet to track a summary of your character, and a pencil for each of you. Gameplay benefits from the support of a hex grid map and tokens to represent characters on it, such as miniatures.
