Conflict
High stress situations, fights, traps, and many other challenges force creatures into conflict. While in Conflict, increase the Tier of sound you make by 1.
Allies and Enemies
Determining if a creature counts as an Ally or Enemy is based on your Social Opinion of them. While your Tier is 2 or higher, they are your Ally. While your Tier is -2 or lower, they are your Enemy. You cannot be your own Ally or Enemy.
Entering and Leaving Conflict
When you attack, suffer Injury, or become aware of a threat, enter Conflict. You can choose to enter Conflict any time as a Minor Action.
As you would enter Conflict, you may use Poise to not enter Conflict, DL 6. If this was caused by becoming aware of a threat attacking, increase the DL by 3. If from suffering Injury, increase the DL by the Injury suffered. If you are not aware of a threat, you can leave Conflict as a Minor Action. Otherwise, you can leave Conflict using Poise as a Major Action, DL 9 + Grit potential used.
Duration During Conflict
Non-Ritual magical effects that have duration tracked in minutes, hours, or days reduce 1 of that duration each round instead of only reducing 1 round.
Ambush
There are two types of Ambush. If a creature is not Aware of you as you attack them, they lose 1d12 on Athletics, Martial, Finesse, and Charisma defenses against your attack. If they are also not in Conflict as you attack them, instead treat these defenses as Tier 0 against your attack.
